“Big Ashe View” is a large 5 bedroom cabin with 3.5 bathrooms, amazing long range mountain views, pool table, hot tub, 3 TVs, 2 gas fireplaces, Central AC, WIFI, 3 levels, sleeps up to 10 guests and paved driveway. Our cabin is located just a 15 minute drive from downtown West Jefferson. Boone is only a 35-40 minute drive from our cabin. We’re sorry, but our cabin is not pet friendly.
MAIN FLOOR: As you walk in the door from our covered front porch, you’ll love how open our floor plan is. The main floor offers the spacious living room with a sectional couch, two recliners, gas fireplace (October 1-April 1), flat screen TV with Roku and local channels. Walk out onto our open large deck and take in the breathtaking long range mountain views. There is a gas grill AND Blackstone Hard Top Griddle on the deck along with a table and chairs.
The large dining table can seat up to 10 guests with extra two bar chairs at the kitchen island. The fully stocked kitchen offers a Keurig maker, a regular coffee maker, slow cooker, 4 slice toaster, dishwasher, refrigerator with ice/water dispenser and most everything else you need to prepare a fantastic meal.
There is also a half bathroom off of the kitchen along with the separate laundry room with a full size washer and dryer.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed, flat screen TV with Roku and local channels, En Suite bathroom with tub/shower combo and a large walk-in closet. You can also access the deck from the master suite.
UPPER FLOOR: Upstairs, you’ll find bedrooms number 2 and 3, both with queen size beds. There is also a full bathroom with a stand-up shower. There is a small sitting area in the loft area to read your favorite book.
LOWER LEVEL: When you travel downstairs, you’ll find the large open area with a full size pool table, gas fireplace (October 1 – April 1), card table with 4 chairs, flat screen TV with Roku and local channels, full bathroom with new step-in tile shower. You’ll find bedrooms #4 and #5 on this level. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the fifth bedroom has 2 twin beds.
OUTSIDE: Enjoy relaxing after a long day of hiking, shopping, tubing or canoeing down the river in our 6 person hot tub located just outside the garage door on the lower level. Don’t forget to bring firewood for out outdoor fire pit. Relax, roast marshmallows, tell stories and take in the fresh North Carolina mountain air!
IMPORTANT NOTES:
***The cabin is access by state maintained paved roads. However, as you turn into the community, the road is graveled but not very steep. The driveway is paved, but steep.
***The owners use outdoor surveillance cameras to ensure that their home remains safe. No cameras monitor the inside rooms of the home.
***There is no land-line phone in this cabin. Cell phone coverage is not guaranteed. The home does have WIFI so you may be able to call using WIFI calling.
***No Smoking inside the cabin
***Minimum age requirement is 25 years old
***Check in time: 4:00 PM; Check out time: 10:00 AM
2 night minimum for off peak seasons
3 night minimum for holidays and the entire month of October
4 night minimum for the Thanksgiving holiday
7 night minimum for the July 4th and Christmas/New Year holidays
As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow and some foggy days and occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is your responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions.
