Bear Trail is located just 10 minutes to downtown Boone (4.2 miles), less than 20 minutes to Blowing Rock, 20 minutes to Valle Crucis and less than 30 minutes to Banner Elk. We are located in the Yonahlossee Saddle Club which is close to all of the major attractions the High Country has to offer, such as

“Bear Trail” is a luxurious well-appointed chalet with 4 bedrooms (2 king and 2 queen size beds), sleeps up to 8 guests, 3 full bathrooms and 2 half bathrooms, long range mountain views, hot tub, pool table, Wi-Fi, gas fireplace (seasonal), central air condition, Weber gas grill, easy paved access in gated community, situated around 4,000' in elevation for those cooler summer days, and more.
MAIN LEVEL: You will be in AWE when you enter Bear Trail with its beauty and lovely décor. The spacious living room boasts a large leather sectional sofa, extra chairs, a stunning stone gas fireplace with a hand carved mantel, and large windows to allow lots of natural light. For your entertainment, there is a large flat screen TV with cable to watch your favorite show. There is a powder room just off of the living room. This half bathroom has a door that leads out to the large open deck.
The fully stocked kitchen offers granite counter tops, plenty of counter space and most amenities of home like a dishwasher, crock pot, griddle, Keurig maker, and more. Enjoy your favorite meal at the dining table for up to 8 guests all the while taking in the breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The master suite boasts a king size luxurious bed, flat screen TV with Roku, En Suite full bathroom. The master bathroom offers a walk-in tiled shower, and a nice soaking tub to relax.
You will have access to the main open deck with a gas grill, dining table with chairs AND our new 6 person hot tub. When you visit the High Country, these are the VIEWS you want!
UPPER FLOOR: There are 2 private queen bedrooms along with a Jack and Jill style bathroom.
LOWER LEVEL: The 4th bedroom is a Junior master suite with a king size bed, En Suite bathroom with a walk in shower and barn style sliding door.
Enjoy a friendly game of pool or a friendly game of darts on the lower level. Plus, you can relax and play some cards or board games in the office/sitting room or if you need to do some work, there is a computer desk for privacy. There is also another half bathroom next to the office/sitting room.
When you stay at Bear Trail, you'll want to come back year after year. There is no better way to spend quality time with family and friends than at Bear Trial.
2 night minimum for off peak season (sorry, NO 1 night rentals permitted
3 night minimum for some holidays and the month of October
4 night minimum for the Thanksgiving holiday (Wednesday – Sunday)
7 night minimum for July 4th week and Christmas/New Year holidays
Check in time is 4:00 PM or after
Check out time is 10:00 AM or sooner
No check outs on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, please.
As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow and some foggy days and occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive/AWD, good tires and chains may be necessary. It is YOUR responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO REFUNDS, allowances or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.
